Where the Dream Meets the Streets

OHM Delicious Floating Brownie

The Story Behind OHMB

SINCE 2005 ONE BROWNIE AT A TIME!

The year was 2005. A bantam Andover youth hockey team qualified for Regions. One of the team managers, Patti, had an idea about making this experience special for both the players and the parents. She thought, “Why not get a coach bus for all of the players and families to ride down in.” Her next thought, “The game is going to finish later in the evening, what are we going to feed the hungry boys? BROWNIES – everybody loves them!” The hockey mom made the players star-shaped brownies with their numbers on them. Little did the hockey mom know that this would be the beginning of a love at first bite experience, even a positive addiction.

For eleven years players and parents demanded (sarcastically) that the hockey mom bring her infamous brownies to different player and parent gatherings. Eventually the brownies escaped the rink and made it to other social gatherings and work, etc.

The hockey player, Andrew, while never really eating the brownies, had noticed the craze for his mom’s brownies. After years of watching and hearing encouragement from others telling her to start a business he was put in a position where he wanted to do something about it.

In 2016, Andrew worked in Corporate America and was presented the opportunity to work harder and make the same, if not less. He said, “Puck That!” I’ll work harder for me and help bring my mom’s passion to life, “Making tummies smile.” It was a great opportunity, but when you work for someone else you aren’t in control of the income or the outcome. We’ll bet on us, not someone else.

The Warning House Store Front

Our Official Launch

Our business began in a food truck and expanded to different opportunities, RAAS local market at Mall of America, The Super Bowl Live By Verizon, former partnerships with the Minnesota Wild, Target Field and currently US Bank Stadium (Section 111 & 359). We also opened a bakery on Grand Ave. in St. Paul – The Warming House by OHMB – that has become our production facility and curbside pick-up. Walk-in traffic is currently unavailable.

We appreciate all the love & support as we continue to grow our “Silly little brownie business” (-Tony, Coach + Dad)! If we haven’t met you yet, we look forward to welcoming you to our team!
